SHAKESPEARE

COMMITED TO EXCELLENCE

Proudly building homes in Southern Utah since 2004. In 2022 we started our 100th home in Entrada at Snow Canyon, a private golfing community in St. George, Utah.

Ben Shakespeare is an accomplished builder in Southern Utah who is licensed as a B100 General Contractor, Master Plumber, and as a Real Estate Sales Agent. Mr. Shakespeare has owned and operated Pridepoint Construction LC which does business as Shakespeare Development, since 2004. Shakespeare developed the Kachina-Vistas at Entrada and Chaco South Subdivisions and has recently started his 100th custom home inside Entrada, a private golf course community winding throughout two wildly different landscapes: sheer red sandstone cliffs and ancient lava-flow beds. Ben leads with a mission statement and mindset to 1) construct things the right way and 2) treat people fairly. As this mission has been lived by, the fruits have been beautiful homes, repeat customers, and relationships with the great homeowners he has built for.

Mr. Shakespeare apprenticed and gained much of his work ethic and love of construction alongside his father Tom Shakespeare, founder of Tom’s Mechanical Inc., a commercial mechanical-plumbing company. What started as a small family owned and operated plumbing company rapidly grew to a successful multi-state commercial mechanical-plumbing company, of which Ben currently is the Owner, Master Plumber and Qualifier. Ben and his brother Connor have subsequently acquired the company from their father and still operate over 30 team members, installing mechanical systems in High Schools, Costco’s, LDS Temples, Colleges, Hotels, Multi-family complexes, and other complex commercial buildings. His involvement in both the residential building and commercial has spring-boarded into opportunities to develop commercial projects. Ben is the general contractor for a 40 acre business complex near the St. George Airport. It is here and other locations he has been engaged as the general contractor for the 40,000 square foot building for the Bureau of Land Management and National Parks Service, two locations 60,000 square feet Buck’s Ace Hardware, and the Bahama Bucks, Bucked-Up, and other restaurant locations.

It is evident when working with Mr. Shakespeare’s that his success is derived from being multifaceted. He quickly formulates solutions to challenges from a wealth of experience in serving: City Councilman, Instructor at Dixie Technical College, President of Southern Utah Homebuilders Association, Board Member of the Washington Flood Control Board, and other similar service organizations. Ben is grounded and driven by his love for his wife Tawni Shakespeare and their four children.
